Well, plans are moving along nicely now. There are now 5 of us going for a foreign 'jolly'.

Myself & Paul King in my Corvette
Chris Shackle & Mike Gibson in Mike's Cerbera
Jim in his Audi (still room for a passenger I would guess)

Ferries are booked for two cars, on Norfolkline ferries.

Dover - Dunkirk Thursday 10th June 10.00
Dunkirk - Dover Monday 14th June 16.01

The campsite is booked. We are staying at Le Bounty ( http://www.le-man-camping.co.uk/ ) 4km South of Mulsanne village.

Yep I already had this in mind Mike. Didn't make it to Saint Saturin back in 2007, but was certainly going to try and get there this year. There is also a similar meet being arranged at Mulsanne sometime on the Friday, as well as the open pit lane walk during the afternoon, so lots to do.

The tents up in the garden getting a bit of an airing. Oh and its only 23 days to go !!!

Well hope your all ready then. Two more days of work and we're off.

For the three of us driving here is a little list of some of the 'don't forget' items.

Driving licence
Ferry booking
V5 document
Insurance certificate
Current MOT certificate ( I also take a copy of these just in case)
Two copies of the 'European Accident Statement' forms (download HERE)
Breakdown cover
Hi Vis jacket (passengers also need one I think ?)
Spare bulbs
Warning triangle (has anyone got a spare one ?)


Obviously all of us need our passports and NHS cards along with our hard earned Euro's. I obviously have the camping booking confirmation.


As well as the obvious things like camping gear, I shall take some bottled water I think and I would suggest a 'bog roll' as I doubt there will be any 'on site' for long !

The Weather for Le Mans is still looking a bit iffy, but seems to be slowly improving, so there's still hope yet I suppose.

Let the countdown begin !

Well, cars all packed and ready to go. Off to Paul's in about 10 mins then off to Dover at silly o' clock in the morning.

Finally got home again last night about 10pm. What an absolutely awesome weekend !! Not sure that poor old Chris will feel quite the same ! (you had to be there !!!!)

Thanks to Paul, Chris, Jim and Mike for their company and laughs. Must try and sort the photos and videos out later.
