4th July Car Show, USAF Feltwell Empty
PostSubject: 4th July Car Show, USAF Feltwell   4th July Car Show, USAF Feltwell EmptyMay 24th 2010, 8:02 am

Just received this email regarding the event on 4th July at RAF Feltwell. Anyone interested in attending ?

Keith Beaumont says :

Hi,

Just a reminder to all….. Spread the word to all your friends – we have only 65 spaces left. Sorry I didn't have time to filter out all the people who have already signed up, so if you signed up for the 4th July Car Show at the Lakenheath Car Show in May or have emailed me since with all your details - then please ignore this (please make sure that you supplied me with everything-if in doubt, send it again).

For everyone else:

Please make sure that you provide ALL drivers & passenger information in the following format so that I can ensure smooth entry to the base – (see attached spreadsheet):

Last Name:

First Name:

Car registration

Colour:

Make/model:

DoB and either Passport / Nat Ins.# for

(this is NOT needed if you have Base ID)

Tel:

Email:

I must have ALL details by Sunday, 13th June at the latest - otherwise you'll be denied entry until 12 noon and then sent to public parking.

Please try to arrive between 0900 - 1200 on Sunday 4th July at RAF Feltwell, Thetford, Norfolk IP26 4HL, otherwise you WILL be directed to "Public Parking" by Security Forces and not be in the Car show.

For all non Base ID cardholders, please bring the Photo ID you quoted above to show the entry guard.

After entering the base Main Gate (Gate 1), - there will be a Security Forces Guard there to check your car and photo ID against the entry list before proceeding along the tarmac road, follow the road around until you come to the crossroads, turn left and then right (just before you go onto the grass) to the sign that says "Car & Bike Show Check In" - please wait there until you can be checked in and given your welcome pack.

The events start at 12 noon - discounted rides for children under 10 for the first 2 hrs on the carnival, 30 food booths, beer tent, two softball games, live music, Battle of Britain Memorial Flypast, lasertag, climbing wall, birds of prey exhibit, cheerleader displays etc. and of course the Fireworks at 10 p.m.

Safe driving to you all and see you on the 4th.

Any problems on the day and you can call me on: 07963 868 320

Please “reply to all” on the emails as sometimes the base blocks attachments.

Regards,

Keith

I'll be interested in this. Has anyone been to this base before? What's it like?

Hi Chris, I,ve not been to this one before myself, but know people who have and the feedback was very good. It's a lot bigger event than the other car shows held on Lakenheath and Mildenhall with other things going on as well as the cars.

Obviously, as the email, you need to give all manner of information to gain access to the base. This needs to be in by 13th June.

I have the MS excel spead sheet that came with the email. If anyone wnats to go along I can forward this on to you.

Went last year and had good day, there is the usual fun for the 4th July. Only prob was that there were a lot of examples of the dark side but will go again!

were there "shops" there? The reason I ask is that I can remember doing an event at one base and we were allowed/escorted to the "onsite American shops" and mingled round. I have a mate who's interested in coming and enjoy's most things American.

No shops at this show Chris guess you are thinking about Mildenhall or poss Lakenheath. As I said before it's a good day with LOT'S to eat and drink plus the fair etc. See you Sunday.
