| Well the weeks are ticking by and it will soon be time for our first planned event of the year. As mentioned earlier in the year, we have been invited to attend and display at a couple of events at the newly altered Snetterton circuit. This event is the first of them. I am awaiting contact from the Competitions Director at Snetterton to finalize the details with him, so now seems like a good time to start to gauge interest and attendance with you all. Having looked at the programme I believe Saturday (9th) looks like the best day for us as it looks a fuller days racing, and the CSCC also hold their own Future Classics series which will be a nice tie in for us. There is still talk of the possibilty of a parade lap (or two) for us during the lunch break, but I must stress that this is still not confirmed. So the question is who is interested in attending and being part of a club stand ? I could do with a rough idea of numbers asap so as to move forward with Snetterton. Peter, feel free to involve the Corvette group also. The more the better ! Below are a couple of website links for : Classic Sport Car Club : http://www.classicsportscarclub.co.uk/ourseries.htm Event page from Snetterton website : http://ticket.motorsportvision.co.uk/calendar/2011/april/100411-cscc-sn.aspx Look forward to hearing from you all.

| Well, now back from scotland and catching up on emails etc.
Yes, should be ok for this one Ian, add me to the list. Not sure which one to bring along, but will probably be the Sagaris.
I take it that this will double up as the monthly meet, being the second weekend of the month?

| Why in gods name did you go to Scotland at this time of year ? The tvrcc hold the Celtic Gathering every year, and it alternates between scotland/N ireland and southern ireland, and it is staged as close to St Patricks day as possible, hence being a March meet. We hit really lucky, bearing in mind they still had snow in late february. It kept dry all the while, and whilst a little on the cold side, didn`t stop any of the activities (which most were in the bar anyway ) Have already booked for the ireland trip next year, to go and try some proper guinness all in the name of research you understand! | |

| As long as it's not 'that' John Simpson I don't care ! Not seen a timetable yet either, having said that, I am still waiting for some contact from the powers to be at Snetterton to confirm everything. Looks like another email after the weekend. I also spotted Kevan's Tuscan for sale. Wonder what's next ? | |

| Maybe he wants to step up a level and race MR2's There would not be enough contact for Kev Ian, don`t worry, this John Simpson is a nice guy, and he knows how to handle a race car. Looking forward to it now, it sort of kicks the season off nicely | |

| Well only just over a week now to this event, and I'm still struggling to get all the information I need ! I understand that there is a CSCC track day at Snetterton today with all the parties who need to get this sorted in attendance, so hopefully I will know more tomorrow.
Currently there is still no timetable up on the MSV website (pretty poor with 1 week to go !), and I have no idea where we are likely to be allocated a display area. The good news is that there is still a good chance wthat we will get the trcak lap during lunch.
I'm on the case, and will finalize our attendance this weekend at the latest.

| Sounds like they are in a state of Organised Kaos Are we looking to meet up prior to going into the circuit, or once our pitch has been allocated, meet up inside the circuit at out allocated place? We are away in Cornwall from Sat until Tuesday evening, so if i don`t respond to any emails, you know why. Looking at the long range weather forecats, don`t forget to take a brolly http://www.metcheck.com/V40/UK/FREE/14days.asp | |

Depending upon the response I get back, had thought we could meet up just inside the circuit entrance alongside the Sunday market area. Yep, I looked at the weather also. Not good ! Still time to change (I hope).

| Right then, looks like I'm finally getting somewhere ! Have had contact from Terry Scannel from Snetterton again and will be speaking to him early this week to iron a few points. At the present there is no defined parking area for us, so we can set ourselves up within the main parking area. It still looks like the parade laps during lunch (13.20 - 14.05) are going to happen, although all taking part in this will need to 'sign on' with the circuit to cover their insurance requirements. Below is part of the email received from Terry ; The plan would be to arrange for you to have a parade as early as possible during the lunch break once all the marshals and service vehicles are clear of the circuit. We would arrange for a Safety Car to lead you round from the assembly point onto the circuit at Turn 4 (Agostini) and do a couple of laps at least and bring the cars off circuit at the same point. We can arrange the specific details of the procedure of getting the cars to the assembly point from where they may be parked earlier as a group later in the week or on the morning. I would suggest that you will directed to park in the spectator area between Murray's (Russell as it was) and Brundle/Nelson (Esses) and it may make sense if this is the case to try to park together if possible so that it will be easier to form the cars up in a line ready for the potential parade. The other aspect to consider is that we will need to have all potential parade participants including any passengers sign on for insurance indemnity reasons as any other on track user is required and they would be most likely issued with a wrist band to allow them access to the track. I am sure you understand the logic behind this - to ensure that it only your members allowed on circuit for the parade. I would ask that during the parade all cars remain fairly tightly packed with no stragglers - this will help in keeping everyone together and allow us to give you ample time on circuit during what will will been a tight lunch break. I'm afraid I cannot do anything about the entrance fees / tickets for admittence to the circuit - this is outside of the control of the CSCC - they do not have any benefit over admittance - all proceeds of which go directly to Motorsport Vision as circuit owners as you can appreciate and not to the organising club. Now onto meeting points / times.Whilst practice starts from 9.00am, I realise that some have a good distance to travel. I therefore suggest that we meet up at the circuit on the long straight before the pay kiosk at say 9.45 - 10.00am. If anyone is going to be later than this can you let me know and I will give you my mobile number to call when you arrive so as you can find us. Finally, below is the new track layout with the corner names which will help you understand what Terry is saying. | |

| Entry on saturday is £13 per head, £10 online. Bit late now to book on-line, should have thought about that earlier. Still, its still only £10 on the gate for Senier Citizens, So, who dose that apply to then??? Who`s going to be brave enough to start a list Paul is a Grandad so will he be bringing his bus pass and be top of the list | |
