| Very early I know, but the guys at Le Bounty where we have stayed in the past have a discount deal on for returning early bookers. The normal cost per person is £245, but if booked before 30th Sept this becomes £220 per person. As I said, this only applies for those who have previously booked with them. Theses prices cover camping for 4 - 5 nights with breakfast and evening meals and a free shuttle bus to the circuit. The Le Mans Classic is being held over the weekend of July 7th - 8th 2012. The event is only held every second year. Having done the main eevnt 3 times now, looks like our group will be taking in the Classic next year for a change. So, really looking to see who's up for a foriegn jolly next July, and who's willing to book nice and early. Details of Le Bounty camping can be found here : http://www.le-man-camping.co.uk/ | |

| Have already emailed you but i'm in too, have sent deposit via bank transfer.
With regards to cars and driving, prob will have Audi still as just serviced it and all fine so no money to spend lol
Can get any amount of people into it so maybe all four of us can travel down in it? will reduce cost quite a bit i would say
food for thought

| Thanks for the offer Jim; the driving there and back is half the fun for me so I'm minded to take the Cerb. | |

| Looks like DFDS have now started a Dover - Calais route. Details HEREJust done a quote and coming out about £29 each way, so could be a better option for this year guys. | |

| Excellent - presumably they've taken over the Sea France slots. All we need to do now is decide who's going in what. | |

| Have had a chat with Jim & Paul and it seems that the plan is to go in Paul's Tasmin and my Cerb.
Have looked at ferries (out on Wed 4th, back Mon 9th):
DFDS do a Dover/Calais route, £29 each way but crossings out are at 09:00 and 13:30 (there's a 15:45 back).
The Dover/Dunkirk route is out at 10:00 or 12:00, back at 16:01 or 18:01
P&O do a 10:15 crossing out at £35 or 11:10 @ £50; back is either 16:05 (£35) or 17:45 (£45.00)
Tunnel is about £70 each way.
Prices appear to be for two adults/one car.
Dunkirk is about 30 mins further to drive compared to Calais.
So, what is your preference? | |

| Well done Mike. All bases covered there.
As a passenger this time I have no worry which way it goes. However, the timings on Dover - Calias don't look great. Would mean a very silly o clock start to catch a 9.00 sailing. Maybe stick with what we know ?
Your call Paul & Mike. | |
