Duxford Spring Car Show - Sunday 3rd May 2015

This will be the 1st of the three shows that I will make arrangements for this year.

I already have a stand booked for us with 10 spaces available, and good interest being shown. There is a £10 per person charge to display, but this gets you full access to the whole site. A good saving over the usual entrance fee. Last year there was a request that cars on display stayed until at least 3pm. I would guess that this will apply again this year.

Obviously more details will be sent out nearer the date. Please add yourself to the list if wanting a space.

Sadly, this won't be the R5GTT's first trip out; it has just had its engine removed and
we're way behind with the painting. However, the Laguna should look resplendent as
it has had a damp-sanding and coating treatment. That helps to belie its 6 yrs!

You shouldn't be surprised Ian, this is a fantastic opener to the show season!

Looks like we are ok at 17. It will be a tight squeeze to get us all on the plot I guess but I'm sure it'll work out ok.

RV Point :

As last year it will be The Comfort Cafe ( http://www.comfortcafe.co.uk/ ) just off the junction of the A11 and A1307. I'm hoping they are still trading as their website appears to not work anymore. Anyway, worst case their is the Little Chef next door so if you get there and it's all locked up head to the Little Chef car park next door.

RV time :

Gates open at Duxford at 9.30am. Can't see the point of getting there then as it it will be a nightmare. If we aim to meet at above at 10.00am and aim to leave at 10.15am. It's only a very short run to Duxford so will be in around 11am. We must be in place by 12 noon.

We go in via gate 1 (furthest away from M11). Don't forget, it's £10 each on the gate. We are likely to be tight on room on the stand so if anyone heads straight there, please park up with the view to getting 17 cars on the allocated area.

If anyone is coming from the opposite direction and it's easier to go straight to Duxford, please let me know so we are not waiting for you to arrive at the RV point. Ta.
