Cars on the Green / Bury Motor Show - Sunday 15th June

Next show on the horizon is the Cars on the Green / Bury Motor Show. This is again held at Nowton Park, Bury St Edmunds (IP29 5LU) this year. As last year, there will be a mix of classic cars and new car dealer displays. There is no charge to display at this one, although a donation to their charities on the day doesn't seem unreasonable.

I will be away in Le Mans so no attendance from me I'm afraid, however, Peter has valiantly stepped up to take charge on the day for this one. I will be handing over the club banner etc to him prior to the event. He will let you know more details for RV point and times.

I have booked space for 10 cars, so now it's down to you to fill them !

As with most shows now days there are rules, so here's what the booking forms says :

Rules.
All vehicles must be presented in a clean & roadworthy* condition
Clubs are required to provide their Public Liability Insurance where applicabe
All entries must be insured against Third Party risks, fully licensed and tested in accordance with the
regulations applicable to your vehicle type*
All drivers must be fully qualified in Law to handle their Vehicle Class
No Exhibit shall be left running
No loud music, we are close to a residential area. No glass bottles.
All Exhibitors must adhere to the marshals instructions
The Show Organisers accept no responsibility whatsoever for loss or damage or injury however caused.
5mph speed limit on site at all times
* Some exceptions to these rules may be accepted, please contact the Car Show Secretary

Last year they also stated that all cars must be in place by 9.00am, however this doesn't seem to feature this year. Maybe just as well as last year nobody was taking any notice of it and still got in !

So as usual, if you want a spot please let me know asap.

Well I now have 10 passes in my hand for this show in 4 weeks time. Only problem now is the fact that still only TWO people have said they want to attend !

Come on folks, surely must be some of you fancy it.

Update, we now have 5 cars so looking a little better. Phew !   

Passes etc will be handed to Peter before the event to hand out on the day.

I will be meeting up with Peter next Wednesday evening to pass over the banner and passes etc for this event, so if anyone else want to be a part of it nows the time to say so.

Just to let you know, Peter now has the club banner and well be dropping those attending an email with RV meet point and time in the next few days.

Meeting point - Tesco Bury St. Edmunds which is adjacent to J43 A14.
Meeting time - 0915.
Leave - 0930.

I have passes, all you need to do is fill in reg. no. and contact phone no. These are required for ease of access and of course H&S!

There are still some passes available, so if you fancy it just show up at the RV and I am sure Peter will have space for you.
