The Academy Car Show, Barrow, Bury St Edmunds. Sunday 3rd June

Just been emailed by Peter regarding this event. At this stage I know very little about it but thought I'd see if there is interest in attending.

It looks like it is only a small affair (50 + cars booked so far) but could be a good way to spend half a day. It says it opens at 1pm so no 'silly o clock' start which is a good thing. I now have contact details thanks to a fact finding trip by Peter. Have just emailed him to request a club stand.

So any takers ?

Looks like the best RV point that I can see is at the cross roads at junction 40 on the A14.

It's only a short drive from here, so say meet at 11.45am. That way we will be in by 12 noon which is what the organiser would like.

Looks like a wet one for tomorrow. Bloody typical !

As forecast it was indeed a VERY wet event yesterday.

My thanks go out to Peter, Paul, Toffer and Susie for braving the elements with me. We were also joined by 'billy no mates' Darren from PHEA who was on his own after his group all decided to give it a miss. Considering the awful weather the show wasn't a complete washout with around 40 cars turning up. Think this show has a great potential to grow into a great show.

Have interest in our club from Greg (Outlaw Muscle Cars) the show organiser and another guy with a very tidy Honda, so see how that goes.

Have to say guys that doesn't look like a fun day out echoes of Gransden Airshow last year (which was good in parts though). Still lets hope the weather improves for Old Buckenham. Hope you had beer o'clock to console you.

It rained in St Neots ALL day relentlessly. Even heavier when I went to MK.
