Hi Steve,
Spotted your post on PH (I think ) about this. Looks in remarkable condition considering the time laid up. Best of luck with it, and look forward to seeing it out and about.

Nice one Steve will look forward to seeing it. Fine machine and could still show some more modern cars a clean pair of heels through the twisty bits.

Hello Folks,
With it being wet and windy, I've been playing with MS Movie Maker and compiled what will become a series of movies covering this restoration.
This is part #1. So pour yourself a suitable libation and enjoy...
It looks quite good at full screen.
Regards, Steve

Hello Folks,
Well, the R5GTT is back into the workshop to continue its restoration progress.
These compilation videos show the resoration progress. They should look quite good full-screen..
This is part #1. So pour yourself a suitable libation and enjoy...
...and this is part 2 which brings us up to date / 20 January 2014
...and Part 3 taking us up to the end of April 2014
... Part 4 sees the engine started for the first time, the revamp of the car's home and its triumphant return complete with brand new MOT :thumb:
The plan is to have car completed by the end of March when it will go for a full wet-sand and detail. It means that it'll be ready for the 2015 Duxford Spring Car Show. Hopefully, we'll be attending? I'm looking at the possibility of bringing both cars. The Coupé went through a partial wet-sand process to reduce the orange peel and is looking great. I cant believe it'll be 6 years ago that I bought it...
With Season's Greetings, Steve

Looking good Steve.
As for Duxford, nothing decided as yet. Will get Christmas out of the way then it will be down to the members as to what we do for next year.
Nobody came forward as an events organiser so it's going to be very much a 'wait and see what happens' situation for the whole of next year.
