Kimbolton Country Fayre - Sunday 12th July 2015

Once again we have a club stand booked for this popular event. I already have 10 passes here on email ready to print off. Each pass covers the car and occupants.

There is a slight change in price this year. Each ticket will admit one car and a single occupant at the admission charge of £8, more than one
occupant will be £10. This is payable as you enter the show.

We will need to be on site by 10am so it will mean a fairly early start, but this show is definitely worth it.
Please Note ! THOSE ARRIVING AFTER 11am MAY NOT HAVE ACCESS TO THE CLUB STAND AREA AND MAY BE DIRECTED TO PUBLIC PARKING.

This year we again on the cricket pitch in front of the main school building.

So just over two weeks to go and only 3 'confirmed' so far.

Can everyone give this some thought and let me know if you are coming or not. Really need to get to a final attendance number asap.

Is FCCC going this year? If not, can we have a decision soon, please.
I'd like to go, supporting FCCC, else I'll see if there's a space for me
on the PH stand. Cheers...

RV place and time details

With about a week to go now, here are the meeting point details and times. I have all the passes and will hand them out here prior to convoying to the show together.

As previous years I have chosen the BP forecourt at the services at the junction of the A1 and A14 near Huntingdon. Map : HERE

Can I ask that we aim to meet up at 9.15am for a 9.30am get away. It's only 15mins or so run to Kimbolton so we should be in and parked easily by 10am.

If anyone can't mark the RV but wants to meet us there, drop me your address and I will post a pass to you, but please bear in mind that anyone arriving after 11 will be in the public car park !

attendance is dependant upon it not being too warm...

Ok Steve,

Can you let me know as soon as you can.

At the moment they're forecasting sunny intervals with a high of 22degC.
That'll be fine, but if it goes higher, say 25degC or above, then I'll bail...
There isn't much shade near where we display, which forces the decision.

Thanks Ian, but I think I will have to bail. My new lass, Sally is very nervous
around cars and is petrified of getting into one. I'm gently forcing the issue
with positive outcomes and we've got to the point where there's a nervous
occasional tail wag, but there's a long, long way to go.

At the moment I don't have a typical Collie response to cars, of trying to
chase them out of sight. I'll do all I can to avoid that, but my biggest fear
about Sunday is someone loudly revving their engine nearby and re-inforcing
her present fear. I have no control over that and I'm unwilling to take the
risk of it happening.

I'm really disappointed because that's one show I always enjoy supporting,
but I've got to be patient at this point until I can build Sally's confidence.

Thanks to those who attended Kimbolton yesterday. Another BIG show with fair too much to see. Real shame about the heavy showers during the afternoon, but I suppose it wouldn't be Kimbolton without some rain !
